My plan to get crime down in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
- Reducing crime
By recruiting more police officers to tackle violence, burglary and anti-social behaviour, we will make Cambridgeshire and Peterborough safer places to live and work.
- Safer roads
By investing in better policing of our roads, we can reduce – and eventually eliminate – accidents and catch those who are breaking the law.
- Keeping our rural areas safe
By investing in our Rural Crime Action Team to make sure the police can respond quickly when problems occur.
- Better crime prevention
By working together with victim support services, focusing on early intervention and rehabilitating offenders and tackling the root causes of crime.
- Fighting organised crime
By working with neighbouring police forces and the National Crime Agency to make Cambridgeshire and Peterborough hostile to organised criminals.
- Putting communities first
By making sure the police are in regular contact with the public and the force’s priorities match the needs of local communities.
